About Me

Anxieties, mood challenges, family struggles, stress, the uncertainties of life, and the impact of past traumas are just some of the issues I can assist you with.
My name is David Mora and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC-S) in the state of Texas and the owner of Building Bridges Counseling. For 20 years I have assisted adult male and female clients 18 years and older with a whole range of issues.
I've been an LPC since 2004 and I graduated with a Masters in Counseling from Amberton University in 2002. I did my undergraduate work at the University of North Texas and graduated in 1989; go Mean Green!

I also have experience conducting seminars on such topics as Marriage, Depression, Mental Health, Balanced Wholeness, Singles and Dating, Stress, Communication, and Parenting through Divorce among many others.
I have been a facilitator for the For Kids Sake program in Collin County educating parents on the effects of divorce on kids. I have supervised visits at Faith and Liberty's Place in Dallas observing court ordered parental visitation. I have been a religious education teacher and have organized and facilitated church retreats, and have coordinated marriage enrichment programs in a church setting.
I strive to maintain life balance through faith, family, music, exercise, watching sports, and the occasional cartoon.
You are welcome to include your spiritual life in the counseling experience. I believe the integration of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with our emotional wellness can bring true inner healing, peace, and lasting restoration. Fees and Insurance
Rate
$150 for up to 60 minute individual session; prorated if extended session.
$150 for couples session up to 60-75 minutes; prorated if extended session.
Payment
Preferred method of payment is credit or debit card. I will accept cash, check, or money order.
On a limited basis I can offer a sliding scale fee based upon certain economic circumstances.
Insurance
I am in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO (not HMO), Cigna, for individual sessions only.
Insurance not accepted for couples sessions.
For out of network I can provide you a form that you can submit to your insurance company in order to seek out of network partial reimbursement or applying the session fee to your deductible. Check with your insurance plan for more details.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations require a 24 hr notice. If you no-show or late cancel for a scheduled counseling appointment you will be responsible for the full cost of the session.
